The Do Dham Yatra refers to the pilgrimage to two of the most sacred shrines in Uttarakhand, India: Yamunotri and Gangotri. - Yamunotri is dedicated to Goddess Yamuna, the river goddess of the Yamuna River, and it is one of the Char Dham Yatra destinations. The temple is situated at the source of the Yamuna River, nestled in the Garhwal Himalayas, and is known for its hot springs.
- Gangotri is dedicated to Goddess Ganga, the river goddess of the Ganga River. The temple is located at the source of the Ganges, where the river is said to have descended to Earth, making it one of the most revered pilgrimage sites in India.

Day 1: Arrival in Haridwar & Drive to Yamunotri
- Arrival: Arrive at Haridwar, a holy city known for its temples and the Har Ki Pauri ghat.
- Drive to Yamunotri: After arriving in Haridwar, drive to Yamunotri, which is about 6-7 hours by road. The route will take you through scenic landscapes, villages, and the beauty of the Garhwal Himalayas.
- Check-in: Upon arrival, check into your hotel/guesthouse and relax for the evening.
- Dinner & Overnight Stay: Enjoy a traditional dinner and rest for the night in Yamunotri.
Day 2: Yamunotri Temple Visit & Drive to Gangotri
- Morning Rituals at Yamunotri: After breakfast, visit the Yamunotri Temple. This temple, dedicated to Goddess Yamuna, is situated at an altitude of 3,293 meters. You can take a holy dip in the surya kund (hot spring) near the temple.
- The temple also offers a chance to perform Pooja (rituals) and seek blessings.
- Lunch & Rest: After the temple visit, enjoy a traditional lunch in the region.
- Drive to Gangotri: Post-lunch, drive to Gangotri, which is around 5-6 hours by road. The journey offers beautiful views of the Ganges River and the surrounding mountains.
- Check-in & Dinner: Upon arrival in Gangotri, check-in to your accommodation and enjoy dinner.
- Overnight Stay: Rest for the night in Gangotri.
Day 3: Gangotri Temple Visit & Local Exploration
- Morning Rituals at Gangotri: After breakfast, visit the Gangotri Temple, which is situated at an altitude of 3,048 meters. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Ganga, and here you can perform rituals and seek blessings from the holy river Ganga, which is considered one of the holiest rivers in India.
- You can also take a dip in the holy waters of Ganga.
- Local Sightseeing: After the temple visit, you can explore nearby attractions such as Bhagirath Shila, Submerged Shivling (a natural rock formation), and the scenic views around the temple.
- Lunch & Relax: Have lunch at a local restaurant, and relax in the serene atmosphere of Gangotri.
- Evening Rituals: Attend the evening aarti (ritual) at the Gangotri temple.
- Dinner & Overnight Stay: Return to your accommodation for dinner and rest overnight.
Day 4: Departure from Gangotri
- Morning Free Time: After breakfast, you have some free time for last-minute prayers or reflection in the peaceful surroundings of Gangotri.
- Drive to Haridwar: Begin your journey back to Haridwar (approximately 7-8 hours by road). Enjoy the scenic drive through the beautiful mountains and valleys.
- Departure: Upon reaching Haridwar, you can either board your return flight or train back to your next destination, marking the end of the Do Dham Yatra.
