Tour Plan
Day 1: Arrival at Rishikesh & Drive to Ransi Village
- Arrival: Arrive in Rishikesh, a spiritual town on the banks of the Ganges River. From here, begin your journey to Ransi Village, the base camp for the trek to Madhyamaheswar (approximately 9-10 hours by road).
- Lunch: Stop for lunch en route at local restaurants or dhabas.
- Evening: Arrive in Ransi Village, a small and peaceful village in the Uttarakashi District, surrounded by lush forests and meadows.
- Overnight: Stay at a guesthouse or camp in Ransi Village.
Day 2: Trek from Ransi to Madhyamaheswar
- Morning: After an early breakfast, start the trek from Ransi Village to Madhyamaheswar (approx. 13 km, 7-8 hours). The trail passes through dense forests, small villages, and streams. The landscape is dominated by alpine meadows, pine forests, and glimpses of the majestic snow-capped peaks of the Garhwal Himalayas.
- Lunch: A packed lunch will be provided during the trek.
- Evening: Reach Madhyamaheswar, where you can visit the Madhyamaheswar Temple. The temple, set amidst beautiful surroundings, is an important pilgrimage site for Hindus. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva in his form as the "Middle" Kedar.
- Overnight: Stay in basic accommodations or camp near Madhyamaheswar.
Day 3: Explore Madhyamaheswar & Return Trek to Ransi
- Morning: Spend some time exploring the Madhyamaheswar Temple and its serene surroundings. You can meditate, take photographs, or simply enjoy the tranquility of the place.
- Lunch: After your visit to the temple, have lunch at your accommodation or while trekking back.
- Afternoon: Start your return trek to Ransi Village (approx. 13 km). The route is mostly downhill, providing opportunities to enjoy the scenic beauty of the surrounding valleys and forests.
- Evening: Reach Ransi Village, relax and unwind after the long trek.
- Overnight: Stay at a guesthouse or camp in Ransi Village.
Day 4: Drive Back to Rishikesh & Departure
- Morning: After breakfast, drive back from Ransi Village to Rishikesh (approx. 9-10 hours).
- Lunch: Stop for a lunch break en route.
- Evening: Arrive in Rishikesh. You can take a short sightseeing tour of Parmarth Niketan or Triveni Ghat, or simply relax by the Ganga River before your departure.
- Departure: Depending on your travel schedule, head to Dehradun Airport (about 1.5 hours) or Haridwar Railway Station (about 1 hour) for your onward journey.
